Free Social Media Marketing – ‘The Best Things in Life Are Free’

In the world of Internet Marketing the search engines constantly change their algorithms, fads and gimmicks come and go, and it is ironic that the things that remain tried and true can be done for free – namely unique content and backlinking through blog and article marketing.  Now there is a new kid on the block and it is free social media marketing.
‘Strike while the iron is hot’ and right now social media is sizzling hot.  Across the board, whether you are an Internet marketer, ‘other’ business, organization, or just plain folk, you are more than likely participating in or at least have heard of one of the popular social media sites online.  It is part of the latest frontier in cyberspace to be part of a social network on some level.

This is one reason free social media marketing is a natural for Internet marketing right now.  Everybody is there!  Whatever you post to the public or for that matter to your Aunt Molly is viewable by the masses.  Hopefully it will remain somewhat discreet so that it doesn’t turn out like email has, to just be unsolicited advertising jamming up traffic.

Social media marketing is also advantageous for Internet marketers because it is interactive.  That is your audience can respond publicly so that others have access to the responses back and forth and this may answer their questions or concerns so that they take action and you do not have to say the same things over and over.  

If they wish to speak with you privately they can pull up the chat client or private message system to contact you and you can respond to them in real time.  Wow!  We have come a long way from tedious back and forth voice mail ‘telephone tag’ and email messages (‘death by inbox’).
It will be interesting to see where this goes and if it delivers all that it seems to promise for effective communications that promote building lasting relationships that are conducive to developing productive business ventures.
